Situation and objectives

  • A new chemical site without any existing IT infrastructure
  • A fixed deadline set by the planned start of production
  • Goal: a complete IT infrastructure in a greenfield approach
  • Goal: highly available, scalable operations and connection of international partner sites

Activities and responsibilities

  • Overall project leadership from planning to commissioning
  • Design of the data centre, network and server landscape
  • Steering of construction, network and IT service providers
  • Alignment with production, the construction project and group IT

  • An own data centre with backup power, cooling, access control and fire protection
  • Network with CAT.6A, fibre optics and WiFi
  • Virtualized server landscape and central services
  • Site connectivity including Croatia
