As part of a strategic IT engagement, we assumed the role of Chief Information Officer and, with it, overall responsibility for the IT operations of an internationally oriented industrial company. The goal was to reorganize the company both technologically and structurally following a spin-off.

We defined the IT strategy, built a secure cloud infrastructure, and established central processes for operations, security, and support. Together with service providers and internal stakeholders, we implemented compliance requirements (including TISAX) and created a robust IT foundation for international business operations.

The project combined strategic clarity, technical expertise, and the ability to build a complete IT organization from the ground up in a short period of time and successfully transition it into full-scale operations.

Initial Situation | Objectives

  • Corporate spin-off in the area of data protection and digitalization.
  • Establishment of an independent IT organization with a complete infrastructure, governance, and operational capabilities
  • Objective: Establish operational readiness, implement security standards (including TISAX), build scalable IT structures to support international business processes

Duties | Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for all IT areas including infrastructure, ERP, applications, IT security, and support.
  • Management of external service providers (cloud, service desk, IT operations)
  • Development and implementation of a company-wide IT strategy
  • Building a Scalable, Secure Cloud Infrastructure (Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Endpoint Management)
  • Responsibility for budgeting and capital expenditures across the entire IT department

  • Strategic IT Realignment After Spin-off, with a Focus on Scalability, Security, and International Rollout
  • Replacement of a heterogeneous ERP system landscape through the group-wide implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Business-IT alignment at the C-level, close integration of IT goals with overall corporate strategy
  • Leveraging Technology for Efficiency and Growth – Selection, Implementation, and Management of Modern Cloud and ERP Solutions
  • Building Digital Resilience, including Information Security, Data Protection (GDPR), TISAX and Business Continuity
